Red Line Rundown was conceived, as are so many Web sites, by a bunch of nerds with nothing better to do.

But these nerds – David Just, Steve Contorno and Scott Green – are experienced sports writers with a passion for Chicago baseball.  Just covered the White Sox for MLB.com and is now working in Chicago as a freelance scribe.  Contorno is so talented, he opted to turn down the same opportunity for the Cubs.  Green has covered sports professionally since he was 17 and his humor columns have appeared everywhere from The Daily Illini to The Washington Post.
